James Cloney MPharm MPSI — Superintendent Pharmacist
Director, Co-Founder & Superintendent Pharmacist | Chemco Pharmacy
“Health advice should be grounded in both science and empathy. As a pharmacist and a parent, I believe in giving people the information they need to take charge of their well-being — because every decision matters.”
James Cloney is the Director, Co-Founder and Superintendent Pharmacist of Chemco Pharmacy, established in 2008. A graduate of the University of Sunderland with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree, James is a registered Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (MPSI) and brings over 15 years of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy business leadership experience.
James has a specialist focus on diabetes care and supplements — informed not only by professional training but by personal experience as the parent of a child with Type 1 diabetes. He maintains his clinical knowledge through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with the Irish Institute of Pharmacy (IIOP).
At Chemco, James holds overall responsibility for the HPRA-approved wholesale distribution licence at the Purcellsinch, Kilkenny support facility, ensuring full GDP compliance and pharmaceutical distribution standards. He also authors evidence-based health content for the Chemco health blog, helping patients across Ireland make better-informed decisions about their health.
Chris O'Grady MPharm MPSI — Pharmacist, NRT & Recovery Specialist
Director, Co-Founder, NRT & Stop Smoking Specialist | Chemco Pharmacy
“From a smoker on their third quit attempt to a Saturday-night patient looking for something to take the edge off Sunday — pharmacy answers both. Most people don’t realise how much the right NRT, the right liver support and the right B-vitamins can change how they feel. I use them myself.”
Chris O'Grady is a PSI-registered pharmacist, healthcare entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Chemco Pharmacy. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sunderland. His primary clinical focus is NRT and stop smoking — the pharmacy conversation that delivers the biggest measurable health outcome for patients, and the category Chris recommends most often at the counter. He guides smokers through the full Nicorette, Nicotinell and NiQuitin range across all four delivery formats — spray, patch, lozenge and gum — and structures combination therapy protocols for the most effective evidence-based quit attempts.
Chris is also the team’s specialist in weekend recovery, liver support and daily energy. He trains in his home gym, supports Liverpool FC, enjoys cars, and likes a few drinks with friends at the weekend. That lived experience matters: the products he recommends — Berocca Boost, A.Vogel milk thistle, AYA B12, Pharmaton Vitality 11 — are ones he uses in his own routine, not theoretical recommendations. The honest pharmacy conversation about how to feel sharper after a social weekend is one of his most-requested topics in store.
Chris also holds the regulatory role of HPRA Responsible Person (RP) for Chemco’s Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA) at the Purcellsinch, Kilkenny facility, accountable to the Health Products Regulatory Authority for Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) compliance, IMVO verification and controlled drug governance. During COVID-19, Chris founded Reassurance.ie — a national rapid-testing initiative serving workplaces, travel, sport and communities across Ireland.
Aidan Kelly MPharm MPSI — Pharmacist & Skincare Specialist
Director, Skincare Specialist & La Roche-Posay Brand-Trained Pharmacist | Chemco Pharmacy
“From a baby’s nappy rash to adult rosacea, La Roche-Posay is the range I trust most in clinical practice — because I’ve seen it work on my patients, and I’ve used it on my own skin for years. When someone walks in not knowing where to start, this is always where I begin.”
Aidan Kelly is a PSI-registered pharmacist, Director and skincare specialist at Chemco Pharmacy. A graduate of the University of Sunderland with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree, Aidan is a registered Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (MPSI) with a dual clinical focus: leading Chemco’s nursing home pharmacy division and serving as the team’s primary skincare and dermatological specialist.
Having managed his own acne-prone, eczema-prone and fragrance-sensitive skin for years, Aidan brings personal as well as professional insight to skincare consultations. He has completed La Roche-Posay brand training across all five core ranges — Effaclar (acne), Cicaplast (barrier repair), Anthelios (SPF), Toleriane (sensitive skin) and Lipikar (eczema) — and recommends La Roche-Posay as his first-choice dermatological skincare range across every skin concern he treats in practice, from baby nappy rash to adult rosacea.
Aidan also heads Chemco’s residential care pharmacy service, supporting nursing homes across Ireland with medication supply, dispensing and eMAR medicines management systems.
Conor Mahon MPSI — Pharmacist & Joint, Bone & Sports Recovery Specialist
Superintendent Pharmacist & Joint, Bone & Sports Recovery Specialist | Chemco Pharmacy
“Whether it’s a Sunday-morning tag rugby ache or a chronic osteoarthritis flare in a sixty-year-old patient, the goal is the same — keep people moving. Joint pain, muscle recovery and bone health are pharmacy problems first. Most people don’t realise how much can be done at the counter before they ever need a referral.”
Conor Mahon is a PSI-registered pharmacist (Reg. No. 12500), Superintendent Pharmacist at Chemco Pharmacy, and the team’s clinical specialist in joint and bone health, musculoskeletal pain and sports recovery. A registered Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (MPSI), Conor combines deep working knowledge of OTC pain relief, joint supplement protocols and anti-inflammatory care with the lived perspective of an active recreational athlete.
Outside pharmacy hours Conor plays tag rugby and 5-a-side soccer, which means the recovery products he recommends — magnesium for cramping, topical anti-inflammatories for post-match aches, collagen for recurring knee niggles, electrolytes for hydration — are tested in his own routine before they reach the patient. The result is product advice grounded simultaneously in clinical knowledge and weekend reality.
As Superintendent Pharmacist, Conor is also responsible for the professional and regulatory governance of Chemco Pharmacy’s retail pharmacy operations — ensuring compliance with PSI standards, supporting pharmacy teams and upholding clinical governance across all locations. Prior to this role, he served as Supervising Pharmacist at Chemco Pharmacy Bunclody.
Roisin Cahill MPharm MPSI — Pharmacist & Gut Health Specialist
Pharmacist, Deputy Responsible Person & Co-Founder of RoCa Healthcare | Chemco Pharmacy
“Gut health is the foundation of overall wellbeing — and the right pharmacist guidance can transform a patient’s quality of life. Through pharmacy, education and evidence-based nutritional support, we can help people take simple but meaningful steps toward improving their health every day.”
Roisin Cahill is a PSI-registered pharmacist, healthcare entrepreneur and gut health specialist at Chemco Pharmacy. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree, Roisin is a registered Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (MPSI, Reg. 11957) and brings a dual focus to her work: clinical pharmacy practice and evidence-based nutritional support for digestive health.
As a community pharmacist, Roisin developed a specialist interest in IBS, bloating, constipation and post-radiation digestive recovery. This led to co-founding RoCa Healthcare in 2018 with her father Pat Cahill, a nutrition specialist, and the development of SylliFlor® flavoured psyllium husk supplements — now recommended by pharmacists and clinicians across Ireland, including the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapy team at St Luke’s Oncology Hospital for radiation-induced diarrhoea in oncology patients.
Roisin also serves as Deputy Responsible Person for Chemco’s HPRA-authorised Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA) at the Purcellsinch, Kilkenny support and storage facility, supporting GDP compliance, pharmaceutical quality assurance and medicinal product traceability. She is a regular contributor to the Chemco health blog on gut health, women’s health and digestive wellbeing.
